Microsoft Network (MSN) Q`s - Can't organize MSN favorites

Expert: viksra - 5/26/2007

Question
I use MSN Explorer browser and when I try to organize my MSN favorites, I receive an error message as follows:  (1st line of error message - Script Error; (2nd line of error message - Error: 'null' is null or not an object; (3rd line of error message - Page: favorites.htm?folder=; (4th line of error message - Call Stack"; then OK button.
Dell, MSN, Verizon and Microsoft have been "inside" my computer and can't find the problem.

I got this Dell computer in May 2005 and the "organize favorites" has never worked.  I always get the same message.

Is there a way I can "fix" favorites?  I've got approximately 200.

Or is there a way I can delete all of them?

Thanks.

Beverly

Answer
Hey Beverly. That is a scripting error on the web page you are viewing. It is usually caused by your firewall or HOSTS file when it blocks advertisements. To disable the script error messages, go to Tools --> Internet Options --> Click the Advanced tab, and uncheck "Display notification about every script error". This can be done in Internet Explorer.
