Expert: Jim Stiles - 10/21/2009
Question Several years ago I set my work emails to automatically forward to my home. I would now like to delete that process, but cannot find the forward instruction. I assumed i had set it up as a "rule" in the "rules and alerts", but my folder is empty. How can I delete this automatic forwarding if I don't remember the source of the instruction?
Answer To cancel a forwarding rule:
1. On the Tools menu, choose either Rules and Alerts or Out of Office Assistant - according to which you used to set up your forwarding rule.
2. In the list of rules either:
* untick the rule to deactivate it
OR
* highlight the forwarding rule and then click on the Delete button. A warning message will be displayed.
3. Click on the Yes button to confirm that you want the rule to be deleted.
Note: If using the Out of Office Assistant, click on the option “I am currently in the Office” to cancel it.
Jim.
