Microsoft Outlook - Auto filing of sent items to folder

Question
Hi Nancy,

I have my Microsoft Outlook set up with two accounts.  I have it set up so that when I recieve emails, it goes into the correct account based on the email address that it is sent to.  However, I also would like it to be this way for my Sent items, so that the ones sent from one account go to the Sent folder for that account and the same for the other.  The only way I know of to do this is to download a program such as Simplyfile and even this is not automatic, you have to specify as you send it.  I don't see a way to do it with Message Rules.  any advice?

thanks very much in advance
Kevin

Answer
Kevin, you can use Rules and alerts to have all email from one account go to a different sent folder.

Tools menu > Rules and Alerts > Create New > Walk through the Wizard

Start with check messages after sending > through a specified account and copy or move to a specified folder.  Be sure to select the folder at the bottom frame of the wizard.
