Microsoft Outlook/Search Outlook Calendar

I tried searching for an item in my calendar and got a message that my search may be incomplete because Outlook is indexing my items.  When I clicked on the link it said 50,162 items remaining t be indexed.  I never got this message before when searching on my calendar.  I have less than 200 items in my calendar.  I have no idea what happened.  How can I fix the situation?  I have Outlook 2010 and am running Windows 7 Ultimate.

Steven, I have seen this before.  When you get this message Outlook is not only indexing the calendar but your entire Outlook Data File.  I do not have a fix. and I personally have never had this problem but I know it does happen.  I did a search on... outlook 2010 items remaining to be indexed calendar

Perhaps the following will be helpful, look under Resolving indexing issues.

You might want to check the size of your Personal Folder it would be your primary email +.pst.

Mine is 1,877,873, these files grow very large, but archiving helps.

You could also do a browser search as I did with more specifics

All the best - you might try another expert as well.
