Microsoft PowerPoint - PPT file doubling in size after saving

Expert: Geetesh Bajaj - 1/29/2008

Question
QUESTION: When I save a ppt file on my MAC (ex:6 Mo) and send to others on PC's, it doubles in size (goes to 10 Mo)? I don't know why it does this and cannot find a solution. Any ideas.

Thanks

ANSWER: David, is it possible for you to upload the presentation to a service like YouSendIt.com -- and send the link through a response here so that I can take a look at the file and get back to you?

Also, tell me which version of PowerPoint you are using on the Mac.

Have a great day.

QUESTION: I'm using PowerPoint X for Mac OS X 10.4  and my friends have Powerpoint/
Office 2003.
I think there must be a problem in the parameters to save the file - concerning
the images or the resolution - but my Mac has different options from the PCs.
Using YouSendIt - I have to specify a destination?

Answer
Just send a file to your email address using YouSendIt, and then paste the download link here.

Once I see the file, I'll have a better idea -- I have both Macs and Window machines and testing them here will help me get you a better response.

Have a great day.
