Microsoft PowerPoint - smooth music transition across slides

Expert: Nancy Benner Janyszeski - 10/14/2009

Question
QUESTION: I have a song embedded in power point 2007 and have tried deleting this but it continues to play.  I have followed the directions on deleting this but I still can't get rid of the music!  Please help!
Everyone wants to play music but I'm trying to get it to stop!  I have only 41 seconds of a wav file - my other songs are fine.  I just want to remove this one song and I can't!

ANSWER: Linda, sorry I have not seen this problem before.  There is some information on the Microsoft site that might be helpful.  It may be that your file has become linked insted of embedded or vice versa.

QUESTION: Thanks for the help. Now I have another problem.  I want a song to play through my last 4 slides. I know the song is embedded. My problem is - the songs starts playing correctly on slide 13 but only a couple of words and then slide 14 starts (which is not a smooth transition) - then it goes to slide 15 no music and then slide 16 and no music.  I have followed every direction that I have read - I've "looped" the music to play - I've clicked to play across the slides - I've entered the # of slides i need the music to play and nothing works!  What am I doing wrong??

Answer
Linda, I would suggest...

it is free training from Microsoft using sounds in a presentation.  Notice the section for sound across slides.
