Microsoft PowerPoint - Powerpoint with links to CD/DVD

Expert: Zell Hunter - 6/2/2009

Question
I am currently in the Army and have been working on this complex Jeopardy game for studying for the board.  What I am trying to do is burn that to a cd with all the links still working.  The way the game is set up is a main file that is 2 slides.  From that it is linked with multiple other Power Point slide shows.  When I burn it to a CD the links no longer work because it is trying to find the file from the hard drive.  How can I burn it to a CD and still have the game work?  Also eventually I want to burn it to DVD so that anyone can put it into the DVD player and play on the TV.  If you know how to do that I would also appreciate it.  Thank you for your help!

Answer
Dear Anthony,

Yes. It would not work if you save it to CD. It would be play as a streaming video.
However, some PPT to DVD converters would allow you to convert to DVD and retain the internal hyperlinks if you choose manual mode.
You can Google to find one such converter.

The one ranked at the first is recommended.
You can learn more from the page below: http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com/ppt2dvd/overview.html
If you just convert one presentation to DVD, you may also try the lite version.

You may feel free to test whether it suits your needs. It is a pity that they are sharewares. You may get watermark on the output video when you are testing it.
Hope it helps.
