Question Hi there!
This is my problem: I created a Power Point presentation and added an MP3 song to it. I then saved my presentation as a Power Point slideshow so I could email it to my friends. However, everyone is able to view the slideshow but nobody can hear the song playing. They see the little audio icon on the first slide, but nothing happens when they click on it. I've set up the PPS so that the music will play automatically when my slideshow is opened up, and it works perfectly on my own computer (where the MP3 file is also stored.) How do I get my song to attach to the presentation? I've read about "embedding" sound files but it sounds complicated to me and I can't figure out how to do it. Also, when I right click the audio icon and click "Edit Sound Option," the ONLY option on that menu is whether or not to have the song looped or not. There are no other things shown that I can edit. The song size, by the way, shows that it is 4.92MB on my computer. The file of my PPS shows that it is 978KB. Please help! I've exhausted myself trying to find the answer on the PP "Help" menu, and done lots of looking on the Internet to find the answer. Thank you.
Answer Hi
The problem here is that the mp3 file is always linked from YOUR pc. This is why the file size of the pps is small ans why the recipients cannot find it!
Two solutions
1.
Delete the sound and start again with both the pps and sound file in the same folder. Insert it and then email the whole folder including the mp3
