Microsoft PowerPoint - Recorded Sound in Powerpoint 2007

Expert: Jeffson - 8/27/2009

Question
I have created a presentation in MS PowerPoint 2007.  In each slide, I have recorded a narration to be used when the slide is launched.  For some reason, the sound recording cuts off before the recording is completed.  It doesn't matter which slide it is.  If on one slide the recording is 20 seconds, it will cut off at 17 seconds.  On another slide the recording is 45 seconds, the recording will cut off/stop at 40 seconds.  It is frustrating, but I'm sure there is a reasonable answer or fix.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

Answer
Hello Allan,

Generally, the recorded sound can be shown normally. If there are many sound files and the files are too big in file size and there are many programs running at the same time, the sound maybe cut off incomplete.

You can try some 3rd party tools to record the sound in your presentation, as far as I know, Articulate and Ispring do a good job in recording sound, they are both add-in for PowerPoint, you can have a try.

Best wishes.
