Microsoft PowerPoint/Videos in PowerPoint

Question
Hello

I use PowerPoint to design programs with a mixture of slides and videos. I have an issue with the latter in that they play perfectly on my PC but suffer from sporadic degradation when played through a digital projector and a laptop.  Several other people in my group have come across this glitch. Is there any way of avoiding it?  Alternatively is there any other program which will avoid it?
Thanks

Answer
If you want your PowerPoint presentation perfectly play on other computers, you have to make sure that the computers have the same version of PowerPoint, because some effects you created with higher version of PowerPoint can't be recognized by lower version of PowerPoint.
Here's my suggestions
1. upgrade the PowerPoint on the laptop
2. save the PowerPoint presentation as 2003-2007 version, some effects may lost
3. save the PowerPoint presentation to video, then transfer the video to the laptop, all the effects will be retained

be sure the video you insert in PowerPoint is wmv format.
