Question Hi Dawn,
We are currently experiencing a compatibility issue with our website (www.lctechinc.com) which was created using Publisher which views and works fine using Internet Explorer. However, we recently found that it does not work correctly when using Safari as the brower. The contact page does not download completely and the links do not work and/or are no longer there.
We created the website using Publisher 2007.
Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated as a lot of our potential customers use Safari vs. IE.
Thank you,
Christa
Answer Hi Christa,
I understand your current situation and I wish I had better news for you, but here are the facts. Microsoft Publisher does not use cross-browser standards when creating web pages. Instead, they use Microsoft's VML markup language, which is not a widely accepted standard and is not supported by Firefox, Safari or other non-Microsoft browsers. When you're doing serious design work you do not want to use Microsoft Publisher.
