Microsoft Word - How do you turn on/off the Show/Hide spacing and paragraph symbols on a word doc for 2000 sr-1 prof

Expert: Anne Troy - 1/23/2009

Question
How do you turn on or off the Show/Hide spacing and paragraph symbols on a word document for microsoft office 2000 sr-1 professional? The paragraph, spacing and other symbols have suddenly appeared on my documents, it might be easy, but I just don't know how to get these off, and don't know what I might have hit for them to appear. I can find no hide button to get these symbols off! Thanks, if you understand what I'm asking-LOL

Answer
I understand perfectly. Here's my spiel on the show/hide button:

Sorry it's so lengthy, but it is good information for you.

Keep Office 2000. Don't upgrade until you absolutely have to. That's my opinion.
