I've been using Word for Windows since version 2.0 (1992), and the more I learn about it, the more I realize how little I know. But I may know a few things that you don't, and I'll help if I can. I answer many questions every day in Microsoft's peer support newsgroups and as a result have been awarded the MVP (Most Valuable Professional) designation by Microsoft Corporation. Please, no questions about VBA (macros), Registry editing, networks, or complex merges, as I have no experience with these aspects of Word, nor do I have any experience with Word for the Mac.

Experience
I have a master's degree in classics (Latin), which is surprisingly helpful, though I no longer teach. The things I am proudest of: Having raised two children to maturity, both Merit Scholars, both college graduates (one a philosophy major!), one Phi Beta Kappa (from Harvard!); having been made a Paul Harris Fellow by my Rotary club; having been designated a Microsoft MVP.

QUESTION: Hi!
I'm using Office Word 2003.
  Is there anyway that I can add a line or some text on every new page created. Like headers or footers, they can be viewed on every new page, is it possible to have same kind of behavior on the body, I mean i have some text and I want it to be appear on every new page created.

Please help.

ANSWER: The only way to cause text to appear on every page automatically is to put it in the header or footer. You are not limited to the header/footer area, however; see http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/AnchorToHeader.htm

QUESTION: thanks a lot, it really worked, just another question, the line i added in the header , it greys out, how can I keep it in it's original color. I mean, when i add a line(a shape), it has black color, but after i close the headers, it greys out, as a default header behavior. how can i change it.

Answer
As you realize, this is default Word behavior: when the focus is in the document body, the header and footer are dimmed, and vice versa. You can see the actual appearance in Print Preview, and of course the document will print properly. If you want to create a document that will appear correct on screen, you need to create a PDF.
