Microsoft Word/Backgrounds in Word

Question
Hi there

I am having some issues with printing the background of my microsoft word document.  My background is set up with a 2 color vertical shading style, and the print preview looks great, but everytime I try to print it prints several vertical lines of one of my colours down the document rather than the single fade out of colour that it should be printing.  It's almost like the Tile setting of putting a background on your desktop.  Do you know how I can change this so that the fill effect looks nice and smooth?

Thanks
Matt

Answer
Hi Matt,

Because there are so many variables, printer problems are very hard to diagnose without having the printer and computer it is attached to in front of me.

Feel free to ask one or all of the other volunteers about this issue.

One of them just may have run into a similar situation and they all are a lot smarter than I am.

Good Luck.

Experience

Microsoft Office and Microsoft Word in particular is one of the most popular programs that our firm, Computer Help provides instruction, one on one tutoring and consultation. I personally use MS Word for almost every task: Envelopes, Mailing Labels, Database, WordArt, Interactive Forms, Faxes, Letters, Lists, Newsletters, Tables, Email Editor and much more. The exception, Graphics and Web Pages. For graphics I use Ulead's PhotoImpact and Microsoft's FrontPage for web site design.
