Microsoft Word - printing envelopes

Expert: Pamela Mullenix-Croft - 11/9/2009

Question
I am trying to print odd-sized envelopes for wedding invitaions. I am using Word for Mac and a HP 7210 A-I-O printer. The first size envelope is 5.25"W and 3.5" H. Any suggestions

Answer
Hello Mary,

I am not sure if you mean you have already tried to change the size of the envelopes and it did not work, or if this is for a mail merge, so feel free to write back if you have already tried this method:

•   Click Tools on the menubar
•   Choose Envelopes
•   Choose ‘Use settings from your printer’
•   Click Page Setup
•   Click the down arrow for Page Setup
•   Choose Manage Custom Sizes
•   Type in the paper size
•   Click Ok
•   Click OK again
•   Click OK once more

If that does not work, you can allow Mac Word to help you with the following method:

•   Click Tools on the menubar
•   Choose Envelopes
•   Click ‘Use custom settings if your printer does not have built-in support for your envelope’
•   Click Custom
•   Choose Custom size
•   Type in the paper size
•   Click Ok
•   Click OK again
•   Click OK once more

I hope one of the methods will help.

Best regards,
Pamela
