Microsoft Word - Avery 5160 labels

Expert: Nancy C. Janyszeski - 6/30/2009

Question
I created labels using Avery 5160 in Word 2007.  When I attempt to print them a window pops saying that the margins os Section 1 are outside the printable area.  It looks okay when I use the print preview.  I also printed them on blank white paper to not use up my label paper.  Thank you so much for your help.

Answer
You can get this error message and still have the labels print ok.

It may be the smallest fraction of a margin causing this and margins are printer dependent.  The printer you are using may have a minimum default of .5 inches but still print.

You can change the page margins just slightly by a 1/4 inch or if you have matched up the printed sheet to your label form and it seems to line up OK the I would just print the labels.
