Question
After completing my TOC and saving the document, I am getting paging errors when I attach the document to an email.  For example, prior to issuing a report, I usually open the document from inside the unsent email (outlook) to ensure that it is correct.  When I do this, all of the page numbers in my TOC are 2.  I can select update page numbers and it corrects the problem, however I don't want to ask my audience to update the TOC when the receive the doc.  Any ideas what may be causing this?
thank you

Answer
Don, no I do not know what would be causing this.  I don't see what version of Word you are using.

If you are using Word 2007 I would export to a pdf and you won't have a problem.

Is the file saved and closed before you attach to an email or are you sending from within Word from the office Button or File menu.

Try the opposite of what you are doing.

Nancy
