Microsoft Word - Footers...

Expert: Mahesh - 7/9/2009

Question
I'm trying to place a document number in the footer ON THE LAST PAGE in Word 2007.  I've been told to turn off the "same as previous" button but I don't see that.  Can you help?

Answer
hey April,

The reason you dont see the "same as previous option" is because you haven't divided your document into sections.

Do this, before the start of the last page, insert a section break.  Go to Insert -> Break -> Section break (next page).

Now when you enter the footer of the last page, you will see the option "same as previous".

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Mahesh K
