about it, the more I realize how little I know. But I may know a few things
that you don't, and I'll help if I can. I answer many questions every day in

Please, no questions about VBA (macros), Registry editing, networks, or complex merges, as I have no experience with these aspects of Word, nor do I have any experience with Word for the Mac.
Experience I have a master's degree in classics (Latin), which is surprisingly helpful, though I no longer teach. Question I have created a fillable form,a macro for spellcheck and with certain sections unprotected in order to allow the person using the form to have some lattitude in regards to formatting, etc. However, now that I have tried the form, it isn't working properly. The spellcheck works fine, but the tabbing from field to field is taking me to the box (with the form text) instead of the field inside the box. I think the problem may lay with how I set up the section breaks and the unprotected sections, but I can't figure out what I've done wrong. Your help would be appreciated.

Answer What sort of "box" do you have the form field in? Note that text boxes cannot be used in protected forms. Are you sure your spell check macro (perhaps the one at http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MacrosVBA/SpellcheckProtectDoc.htm?) is reprotecting the form? Or, as you say, perhaps you have protected the wrong sections?
