Microsoft Word - Word 2007 Automatic Updates on Subsequent Pages

Expert: Aidan Heritage - 7/6/2009

Question
I am trying to create a 2007 word document so that information entered in will automatically transfer to subsequent pages; An example would be that I enter in a client name on page 1 and the document automatically transfers that information to specific places on page 2 or page 3; is there any way to do this? this would be like the Excel function of formulas that draw information from previous pages.

Answer
Hi- somehow this question got hidden from me, so my apologies for the delay in replying - you can use bookmarks to mark text, and then ref fields to reference these in the same way that you can in excel.  I tend to use VBA to complete my word templates, populating the bookmarks automatically - I am happy to help with this in any way I can - my email if you need it is aidan.heritage@virgin.net
