Microsoft Word - word 2007

Expert: Aidan Heritage - 7/1/2009

Question
How can I add word art to a picture when a picture style has already been applied? I know you can group objects on a drawing canvas, but once you do that you cannot apply a picture style from the picture tools format tab. The only thing I seem to be able to do is add a text box on top of the picture and then click no outline ,no fill. Thanks

Answer
We are all fairly new to word 2007, and my knowledge goes back so far with other versions that you are actually managing to confuse me - I'm not sure what it is you are doing here, but IF the task is to insert a picture and then insert word art, why not do just that - have two objects, float one over the other - wouldn't that do the job?  I'm admitting on this one to NOT being an expert so please let me know if I'm being stupid on this one - my email if it helps is aidan.heritage@virgin.net
