Microsoft Word/Hiding headers + footer margins?

Question
Hello!

I am using Word 2013 and frequently am projecting documents that I am also editing. A few times I have stumbled into a magical view that allows me to hide the headers and footers so I can just scroll, and edit, in the content. I don't want to remove them (I need them for printing) - I just want to tuck them away during meetings etc.

I can't seem to find that magical view again. Help please :)

Hi Lynda,

I love that "magical view" also and it is super easy to turn off/on. Open file in print layout view > place your cursor directly above top edge of page (a double arrow will appear) > double click. This will hide the headers/footers from view. Place cursor in same position again and double click to return to view showing headers/footers.

If you would like this view to be your default (only shows headers/footers when you tell it to): File > Options > Display > deselect "Show white space between pages in Print Layout view" > OK. Go back and check it to reactive or double click as above for temporary header/footer show.
