Question Hi Michelle,
I use MS Office 2007 on W7 and W10 and am reasonably proficient in all the programs. The thing that bugs me, though, is that when I type, for example, the titles of my books, I have to type the word/s, then italicize, then change the font. I tried Auto Correct but there’s no option to change the font & italicize as I type the title of the book, if that makes sense. I’ve never used macros, which I suspect is probably what I need to do. Can you help me streamline this annoying problem please? I hope, if there is a solution, that it would work in Outlook and Excel as well.
Answer Hi Lyn,
I found this would be easier to demonstrate vs. writing out so I have included a Word video as well as Excel/Outlook combo. For improved video quality, click open (top right) or download. Preview is default and is lower quality.
Thanks very much, Michelle.
I use Styles all the time in Word but it never occurred to me to use them, nor in Excel. Yes, it's a pity with Outlook, but it doesn't matter. I use the format painter a lot too. I appreciate your demonstrations which made it very clear. Going to that much effort was remarkable.
