Microsoft Word/Font Issues

Question
Hi,

I have a citrix server running MS Word 2003.
This MS Word installation includes a whole bunch of fonts such as: City Blueprint, Country Blueprint, Marlett, PanRoman, SansSerif, SuperFrench, Symbol, Technic etc. etc.
When I create a Word document using on eof the fonts listed above I can read it no problem.
When I change the font to something simple like Time New Roman it converts the characters to rectangles.
If I select Times New Roman as the font and then start typing a new sentance it appears fine.
If I change that new sentance into City Blueprint (for example) it still appears fine, but If I change it back to Times New Roman - rectangles again.
If I change between City Blueprint, SuperFrench and Technic (for example) there is no problem.

Why is it that there appears to be a certain set of fonts that I can convert to but cannot convert back from?

Regards,

Neil.

Answer
Neil, I believe this has to do with City BluePrint (an AutoCad Font) being monospaced and Times New Roman a True Type font.

It appears the other Fonts you mentioned are also AutoCad fonts.

I would ask another expert more familiar with using AutoCad Fonts if you need specific help.

There is software available for converting AutoCad fonts, if necessary but that would only be applicable if converting an auto cad file, not Word.

I am not able to duplicate your document or application but hopefully my thoughts will lead to a resolve of your query.  If not check back and let me know or perhaps ask another Expert for a different point of view.  If you can use any of the suggestions a kind review is appreciated.
