Microsoft Word/Form Templates in Word '03 utilizing auto-fill

Question
Hello -

I am trying to create a form template in Word 2003 that can utilize an auto-fill type feature (if possible).  For example: at the very beginning of the template, the user will fill in a form field with his/her company name.  I would then like to take that entry and propagate it throughout the rest of the form where applicable (rather than requiring the end user to re-enter their company name numerous times).  This would need to be done for several different fields.

I've tried to create a macro that would select that entered text and then "find and replace all" to no avail.  Unfortunately, the macro won't select the text I need.  Additionally, the macro doesn't run when the form is protected.

Answer
Hi, Leah. This is pretty much a no-brainer. The issue is updating of fields, so see these two articles to learn how to accomplish your goals:

(Make absolutely sure you check "calculate on exit"!)

Hope it helps!
