Question Hi: I use Word 97. I work with a lot of documents containing hyperlinks. I found a macro on the Internet which is supposed to remove all hyperlinks from a document globally. I'm guessing I made an error when installing the macro or saving the macro, and I now have a pretty serious problem. When I open documents, for example, that contain fields, all of the information in the field is missing, and, instead, a notation like { FORMTEXT } or {FORMCHECKBOX } appears. I've tried to convert these documents to see if I can get this missing information back, but nothing helps. I even removed and reinstalled Word 97, but to no avail. The strange part is that I was able to read these documents shortly before I (mis-)installed the macro, but now the fields are missing. Any help at all would be much appreciated.

The good news is if I understand what you are asking this won't be very hard to fix.
From the Menu Bar select Tools, Options and the View Tab if not already selected.
Look under Show and then the last column remove the check mark in the box labeled Field codes then click OK.
