Here is a work around I use. It's not perfect.

Go to the Window menu and click New Window.

Right click a blank space in the Task Bar.

Click Tile Vertical.

You now have two winddows open side by side.

Set the Zoom in each window to whole page.

You can now scroll each window to look at any two pages side by side.

You have to scroll each window separately (that's the not perfect part). But you can see the pages side by side the way they will be printed.

I use this to write courses where I want instructor notes on the left and participant notes on the right.

OppenOffice can do this without any problem, :show to sides,an Bookmode, just very strange that Word 2010 can't do this.
