About Mike VanHorn Expertise Versions of Works previous to Works v5 ( 2000 ), but I will take v5 and v6 questions, too. I have copies of the DOS and Macintosh versions, too, so I can try to reproduce your errors.
Experience I have used Works since version 1.05 for DOS back in the 80s. I have run a web site, currently at http://members.core.com/mvanhorn/works/, since 1996, and was even profiled by Microsoft on their Works web site.
Question Below is dialogue I've had with another expert who is on vacation now. His last response which can be found at http://www.allexperts.com/user.cgi?m=6&catID=1034&qID=4599025 I have done what he said re finding a number of ...32.flt files, renaming and reinstalling Works. Couldnt find Pcximp32.flt ot Tgaimp32.flt. It hasnt fixed the problem. Help!!!!!!
I make up flyers and were inserting pictures of houses that had been taken with a digital camera and downloaded to my computer. They are jpgs. I have uninstalled Works from my computer and when i reinstalled I found 2 discs. One for Works 2000 and one for Works 7.0. I wasnt sure what was installed prior and have put 7.0 back on. Either way, I cant insert the picks in flyers done before or after the reinstall!Which is the most recent program? Many thanks. Tricia

-----Question-----
I cant upload pictures into a Works 7.0 document. Get the message:Works cannot insert the selected picture because the picture may not be in a format which can be imported by the Word Processor. Save picture in another format and try again. Can insert into Word though

Word has a lot more convertors for importing pictures. Can you tell me what the picture is that you are trying to import. If it is a jpg from the web then it may be that it is a later version that 7 doesn't recognise.

Answer Is there anything you have changed about the images you are trying to put into the document? i.e. are you using higher-res images, or a bigger size?
Also, you might want to check the installation program again, and make sure you installed all the available options that came with Works; maybe the importation of JPEGs is optional.
