Question
QUESTION: Where can I locate more recipes for my microwave grill? . . . I have the little cookbook that came with it, but I need more variety now!  Thanks & Blessings.

ANSWER: Hey Carmen, I need to know if this is the type of microwave grill that you preheat in the microwave before grilling or is it a grill attached to the top of the oven cavity?

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: It is the "Microgrill" that you preheat for three minutes in the microwave. . . I went to their website, and they have the exact recipes that are offered in the book.  Thank you in advance.

Answer
Dear Carmen, evidentially you're pleased with your microgrill so I'll try to remain positive in my response. There are many different microwave grills and they all perform about the same. They used to be called "browning dishes" and were made of ceramic (CorningWare)or metal, either with a flat or grill surface. All of them work by converting microwave energy to thermal energy through a seceptor material on the bottom of the device. Some were designed like a countertop grill with a hinged top that provided the heat to the top of the food. So, one side of the food will be seared and the rest of the food will be microwaved. In testing these devices I found that everything I cooked could have been done better in a skillet on the stovetop. However, here are some suggestions for using your grill. Use conventional recipes but cook them on your grill. Ground meat patties, beef steaks, pork chops, sausages, meatballs, cheese melts, frozen pizza, eggs, French toast, fried potatoes, hash browned potatoes, potato pancakes, fish filets and steaks, frozen fried chicken and breaded fish filets. Some of the cooking guides suggest cooking bacon on the grill but why would you do this when bacon cooks so beautifully using just microwave? Anyway, try Googling "microwave browning dish recipes" to get more specific recipes. Good Luck!
