Question
Hi, We had recently brought LG 26ltr Microwave with Convection & Grill model. I want-
1. How to use the oven/convection/grill { only for VEG recipes}
2. I want to cook Rice/Indian vegetables is it possible to give TADKA in it. i.e. using oil & mustered seeds.
3. What precautions should I need to take while operating the instrument

Answer
Dear vishmesh, most of your cooking will be using microwave only. Convection is good for bread and pastries. Combination microwave can be used for roasts and whole chickens and other foods that you want to cook fast but with a crisp exterior. The grill function in these ovens doesn't cook as well as a conventional grill but you have to try it a few times to see if it is acceptable to you. You must use the instruction manual that came with the oven to learn the controls for each cooking function.
For rice with oil and mustard seeds, I would mix 1 cup of rice with the other ingredients in a 1 liter microwave safe dish and microwave on high for 2 minutes. Add 2 cups of water and cook on 70% power for about 18 minutes or until the rice is tender.
You don't need to take any precautions when using your microwave, just take care not to overcook your recipes. Enjoy!
