Question
I have a emerson microwave oven wiyh grill/brown function 1000 watt and I don't know how to use it I don't know if you can put pans you cook in or not my son passed away and left it to me and I need help on what kind of pans to put in it I don't have any information on it.                     thank you,

Answer
Dear Delores, sorry about your son's passing. Most of your cooking will be by microwave only. Use it for vegetables, rice, poultry, lean meats, sauces, casseroles, reheating and defrosting. The grill function does not work well because the oven uses 110 current and never really gets hot enough to broil-grill. Use your conventional oven for this type of cooking. Use only microwave safe plastic, glass, and ceramic for microwave cooking and if you do grill use pyrex or metal pans. Go to your local library and get a book on microwave cooking and it will tell you in detail how to use your oven.
