Question
i just bought a convection model in the seconds sale w/o a manual but am not able to function even the simplest which i could do in a solo like steaming veg does steaming require water in a  convection model  i have a panasonic NN J993

Answer
Dear Poonam, since I'm not familiar with this oven I can't answer your question exactly. But, all microwave ovens work approximately the same. Most of your cooking will be by microwave and all you have to do is enter the time and power and start cooking. Using convection should have a touch pad that says "convection" and the time and temperature at which you want to cook. Then there are combination microwave/convection controls that are different with each model. Try googling Panasonic to see if they can give you more specific information.
For steaming vegetables, just rinse them in water and place in a dish and cover with the dish cover or plastic wrap and cook approximately 5 minutes per half kilo on high power.
