Sally, my Uncle also shot down May 8, 1944 near tuendern/Hameln at 10:30 hrs, he was navigator of 42-50327 and is buried in Ardennes cemetary. 2 of the crew lived to become POW's for the remainder of the war. I too, am looking for more information as to the missions they were on prior, what life was like at the airfield, the Old Buckenham, they flew out of, any photos of time period. Any information would be most welcome as the remaining family members never spoke much of the war years and their loss.
