Barry and Keith,

I am chasing up information for a similar shell case. From what I have found is the following:

GFSP = Geschossfabrik Spandau - Spandau is a suburb of Berlin where the shell was manufactured.

SEPT 1918 - I believe is when the shell was manufactured.

SP197 - is the Spandau inspection number.

St - not sure what this means.

I am unable to find further information about the shell.

You might already know the abovementioned information, but do hope it is helpful.

Regards,

Keith Langdon
