Military History/WW II Battalion/ Company yearbooks

My dad was in WWII,US Army, Company B, 512th MP BN.  I remember that my mom had 2 quite large yearbook type Army books (dark blue jacket covers).  One of the books detailed the history of the 512th and had stories and pictures of the cities and battles that they were engaged in.  The other was a yearbook specific type and had small head shot photos of each man in every Company and Unit in the 512th. My mom lived in New Orleans and drowned in her house during Hurricane Katrina. The books were there also and were totally destroyed.  Do you know who may have authored them and/or, most importantly; how I can replace them?  Thanks, in advance for your help.

I would be honored to help.  First I would try to contact other members of your fathers unit.  Try this website
You can also contact the Army bout getting new copiers.  I have 2 websites that may be able to help
Last but not lest the Library of congress might have these yearbooks if not for sale they may be able to make copies.

Also check many yearbooks show on that site from time to time
I have not found the authors name but I hope the websites are helpful.
