Question
Pin
Pin
Picked up this pin at an estate sale, thought it was interesting, never seen any online like it.  Can you identify it?  Is it common or rare?  Valuable or not?

Thanks!

Answer
It appears to be what is called a Hat Eagle, usually worn on the "Offciers" type of dress uniform hat , it is not too unusual but not too common either , usually the gold color ones ar fro the US Army , try googling Army officiers hat Eagles and see what comes up , does it have any makers marks/titles on it, and does it have pin back or spindle type attachment ??????

A photo of the back would also help , it may be of older era than WW2 , will have to do some research after seeing the back, as I know most usually have the "cloud" with stars in round disc between the scroll above the eagles wings, unless someone deliberately broke/remvoved it , it is unusual in that fact.
