QUESTION: What was the tank ammo? I have a project due on Thursday 11,2014 and i can't find what the ammo is, and I need some facts about weapons in WWI. Can you help me?
Tanks were first used in World War One and invented by the British. The first British tanks were armed with 2 six pounder guns a type of 57mm cannon. Some British tanks were armed with machine guns instead of cannons. The first real battlefield tank was the British Mark 4. The early Marks were sued for training new crews.
I have included several websites that will go into more detail about World War 1 tanks. The last link is about the guns used on the British Mark 4 tank.

QUESTION: IM ASKING WHAT WAS THE TANK WAS LOADED WITH !!!!!!!!😡😡😡
The British Mark 4 tank had 2 cannons called 6 pounders which today we would call 57mm cannons. The tanks carried 332 round of ammunition for these guns. The cannons were used against enemy machine guns nest and other hard points. The ammunition for the 6 pounder gun was high explosive and had a contact detonator to explode when it hit the target.
These is a link below about the cannon carried by the Mark 4 tank
