Answer
Dear Sir,
Thank you for your follow-up.  If I understand the dates from Box #32 on page two of your father's Discharge Documents, your father departed a West Coast Port of Embarkation December 15, 1942 & arrived somewhere in the PTO December 29, 1942.  This is all based upon, as you typed, your father being assigned to the 110th Engineer Combat Battalion, Missouri National Guard.
Departing somewhere in the PTO on September 1, 1943, your father returned to a West Coast Port of Embarkation "14 Dep 43".  I assume you meant to typed September 14, 1943.  Am I correct?
Your father again departed a West Coast Port of Embarkation November 23, 1944 & arrived somewhere in the PTO "3 Mar 44".  Did you mean to typed December 3, 1944?
Departing somewhere in the PTO on November 23, 1945, your father arrived at a West Coast Port of Embarkation December 8, 1945.  I type this because there seems to be an inconsistency with the dates I have for the wartime voyages of the 110th Engineer Combar Battalion, Missouri National Guard.

As you can read, there is quite an inconsistency between the two sets of dates.  Would you be so kind as to help me understand the inconsistency?
       Good Luck with your quest.

  Sincerely,

Expertise

Can answer: World War Two. Specifically, the troop transport ships that took US Military Personnel overseas & returned them to the US, 1941-47. Also, unit history of US Army QM, Signal, MP, Ordnance, Medical, Transportation & Engineer units that served during WW 2. The more obscure units are my specialty. If you have the APO that a Veteran sent letters from or received letters at, I can look up the history of that APO.
