QUESTION: Do you have any information on my Dad, what he went through in his trek? His name was Leland Harris and he was  35 173 788 private first class battery A 987th Field Artillery Battalion in World War II. His discharge papers said he had EAME theatre ribbon with 5 bronze stars (?) and Good Conduct Medal..

I don’t have anything specific as to your father in my records, but I might be able to shed some light.  The EAME is a European Theater ribbon each star refers to a battle during the time your father was in theater.  Each star meant he participated in a battle.  A star could mean one of these battles
