Military History/Info on rifle

Rifle Markings
Rifle Markings
I inherited a .243 Musgrave rifle.
For the last 20 years if been wondering about the marking on the rifle.
Im attaching 2 pic.
Any info and rarity would be apprecited.

Your rifle might be a rebuilt k98 Mauser.  This was most likely a World War 2 K98 rebuilt to take the .243.  Or it could be a Luftwaffe K98.  Some Luftwaffe rifles used the .243 round.

A gunsmith would have to take a look in person tell.  I would check in with your gun store.  You do have a weapon with a history.
