In the Battle of Hurtgen Forest in WW2:
What Troops were involved in the battle (and what are Regiments, Divisions, First army, V Corps + VI Corps, etc) ?
Which troops attacked first, what date did they attack on, where did they attack from and where did they go?
Who, and when, attacked the town of Schmidt?
How many dams were captured, what were they called, when were they captured and were they strategically significant?
Could you give me a summary of the battles and fights that took place.
I know I'm asking a lot but I would be very grateful if you could answer my questions?

         I apologize for not getting back to you sooner but I just recently returned from overseas. I wrote a feature article entitled "The Hurtgenwald" for Military Heritage magazine in 2000.
