Military History/tech sergeant stripes

Question
Hello.
My father was in the Army Air Force in the mid 1940s.  I am trying to find out what his tech sergeant's stripes would have looked like. I am making a shadow box for him for Father's Day. I have his patch with the star and wings.  I'd love to include a picture of the stripes that he would have worn.
Thank you!
Janet

Answer
Dear Janet,
You can go to the following web site and you will be able to see a picture of all the ranks of the U.S. Army Air Forces and U.S. Army in September, 1945:

Scroll down to Page 21 and on Page 20 it will describe the colors of the chevron.
