Question What is the most common/best 2nd Lieutenant level MOS selection to increase my chances of switching to Psych. Ops. as a Captain?
I am planning attending OCS in May 2010. I am very interested in becoming a Psych. Ops. Officer in the Army. However, from what I've learned, that position is only available to Captains and above. My next greatest interests are Infantry Officer and Human Intel Officer.
Answer Good choice. I think Psyops is still only a qualifier not a branch. So you need to be branch qualified first, then go to psyops school. Contact Fort Bragg where Psyops is located and talk with their officers management branch. I did it as a 1st Lt. Its good stuff and way above the other branches. Its a weapons system closer to artillery than anything else, so get a field branch first if possible. Also, DA officer management has the current stats on getting their.
