Subject: Where To Buy Starter Relay?

Question
I blew a starter and the starter relay under the dash. Anyone know where I can buy one? (hopefully that is the last part that smoked...)

Answer
Hi Steve,
If you want to stay with the orriginal military version, go to memphisequipment.com

But it just takes a 12 volt relay. The pullin coil needs to be 12 volt, but you can run any voltage you want through the other contacts, so in this case, 24 volts.

Go Here....http://www.the12volt.com/relays/relays.asp

Connect 85 to the wire that is 12 volts when the key is in start.
Connect 86 to ground.
Connect 30 to the wire with 24 volts.
Connect 87 to the wire to the starter solenoid.

Available at any parts store. Ask for a Chevy cooling fan relay, or a/c compressor relay.
You will find they are numbered the same.
