Question please sir i want a complet note of the cerebral palsy child education mathod and infrastructure.please help me i will be very thankfull for your kind help.
Answer Learning that your child has cerebral palsy is a major shock to any family. I do hope your family has access to sympathetic support. Wanting to know what the future holds is also understandable but cerebral palsy affects each child differently so the answer is not straight forward.
There is no single approach to the education of children with cerebral palsy. A combination of physical therapies to treat the physical aspects include physiotherapy and occupational therapy. These treatments are para medical and will be prescribed via your child's medical practitioner. Children attending school often have these treatments during the school day so that they don't have to go out to a clinic.
The teaching programme is also highly individual and matched to each child's needs. Many children have cognitive and language impairments which will be addressed as part of their individual programme. How the usual school subjects are approached will also be personalized.
Your child's consultant can put you in touch with people locally who can give you more information on your local services. Many very young children start with a specialized home teaching programme where you are visited weekly and are given a personalized home teaching programme to stimulate your child's development. Do find out whether this is available in your area. The earlier children receive appropriate support and stimulation the better it is for everyone.
