Question
I have been trying to find the origin of Governor`s Schools.  Are they all (nationwide)  designed for gifted education or high achievers? Is there one principal around which they have been organized?

Answer
Dear Linda,
Governor's Schools are ideal for students who are both gifted and high achievers.  For information about the history of this program, go to www.ask.com and enter governors schools as the keywords.  Go down to the link about the National Conference of Governors Schools and you'll find a bit of their history, their goals, and who to email for further information.
Best of luck in your research : )
