Answer Water that you would drink is fine. If your water supply tastes bad or you normally drink bottled water in your area, then give it bottled water. Yes, a water bottle is needed, the kind that has a ball valve in it to keep it from leaking. Nothing special has to be added, as you will be feeding it hamster food that is a balanced and complete diet for it.
