Question I asked earlier about my sons car and the fail safe mode (shifting problems). I am not sure if my return message got to you about what the codes are. My husband was able to use a machine to get them. (he has done this before) Here is what they are: PO 134- o2sensor
PO 700- trans control system and P1 768 which he couldn't fine or get that code info. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks
Kim
Answer P0700 will always come up meaning to look further for the actual problem which is the P1768, which is the ETAX relay stuck open and not allowing power to the solenoid block. Replace that O2 sensor and your car will run much better and get better milage. The P1768 could also mean a broken wire or bad connection in the harness. It's odd that these codes are present because they are for a A604 and this should be a Mitsu. You must have a 2.0 and not the 2.4 as I assumed.
