Question
What is a good price for replacing the timing belt. I have been having problems with my brakes, Mitsubishi have repaired them four times.  When trying to brake they will vibrate and Once when it was raining I had an accident because my brakes wouldn't stop in time.  Do you have any suggestion on  how to repair these problems.

Answer
Jenis: I would say around $20.00 but then I work on older cars than your's. You should check around to different parts stores and see what they tell you. Or try the internet for the cost. As for your brakes I would say you have a leak someplace in your lines and so without the fluid to make the brakes work; you had that accident. You need to take your car someplace that just works on brakes. Because after four times at Mitsubishi would tell me they do not know what they are doing. Or else they are fixing the wrong thing. I understand with a newer car you like to stay with the dealership. But I think you need to check with a shop that works just on brakes, they would give your car a better check over and more time to find the problem. Hope this helps and good luck!

I have done a lot of work on older Mitsubishi's. Whatever has gone on with someone's car has I am sure happen to the one I work on. A lot of things, though might be the computer it could be a sensor too. Whatever I am not sure of, I will then hunt up the question useing the net. Don't know much about body work or painting a car.

Experience

The Mitsubishi Eclipse I work on has over 167,000 miles on it. If it could go wrong it has. I have learned a lot from working on the car, reading books and asking people who work on other cars.

Education/Credentials
Have some college course on engines, working on them and keeping them repaired. Read a lot of books and try to stay ahead of things.
