Question oil in spark plugs, blows white smoke, uses about1-2 qts. every two weeks, knocks off when i turn left or stop, had it towed home, bumped when it came off the truck and started, drops back to first gear after driving a few miles, or a few feet, what could be wrong?
Answer Karen,
Oil in the spark plug wells can indicate a worn valve cover gasket. That gasket will wear down over time and should be replaced if you've never done so. If replacing that does not stop the oil from leaking in the spark plugs, you may have a cracked cylinder head or worn head gasket. That is definitely a more expensive and time consuming fix.
There are many things that can cause your engine to stall. The oil in the spark plugs may even be causing it. Check your engine mounts to be sure they are not excessively worn or loose.
Good luck!
